About the opportunity
Embark on a transformative journey with us as a Community Strengthening Facilitator. Your role will be at the heart of our mission to eradicate family violence and champion gender equality in the Cardinia Shire community.
You will make an impact by:
- Fostering effective partnerships to build local knowledge and capacity to address the drivers of gendered violence
- Leading the ‘Together We Can’ network to develop, implement and evaluate local primary prevention strategies.
- Aligning community and government efforts to address family violence.
- Adopting innovative and adaptive approaches to enhance community wellbeing.
- Empowering community groups to address the drivers of gendered violence.
What you will bring
- A deep understanding of community development theory and/or the Collective Impact Framework, and the ability to use data to maximise social impact.
- Demonstrated understanding of the key drivers of violence against women and family violence, and the role that community, agencies, governments, and workplaces play in building safe and inclusive communities.
- An understanding of emerging trends to ensure recommendations made by this position influence the outcomes for our community and organisation now and into the future.
- Proven community engagement, facilitation, and negotiation skills working across all levels of community.
