THE COMPANY:We are working with an institutional commodities broker who are searching for a Compliance Associate to join the team. Centrally located in the city, the client are looking for a generalist compliance candidate to bring some expertise and knowledge to the team.THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support ongoing annual compliance programme delivery: review of policies and procedures, suggesting improvements, and communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Respond to external compliance-related requests from banks and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to compliance projects e.g. implementation of new regulations.
• Maintain and review existing processes related to AML, ABC, sanctions and data protection.
• Manage compliance with the FCA obligations and communications with the regulator.
• Respond to internal requests from trading, operations and trade finance teams, ability to translate compliance requirements into commercial language and scenarios.
• Support teams across the global offices to ensure compliance standards are maintained at all locations.
• To take responsibility for your performance and to work together to achieve our organizational goals.
• To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performanee of the role.
• To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation and fire and emergency procedures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 3-5 years’ experience within the compliance space, need to have experience supporting on drafting of policies and procedures.
• Ideally experience within a commodities firm previously, or exposure to commodities within a banking environment
• Ability to work in the office 4 days a week
• Sponsorship is not offered for this position
