Are you an experienced Compressed Gas Fitter looking for a new opportunity?JMC Aviation is working with a leading MRO Organisation based in Stansted, looking to recruit a Compressed Gas Fitter to join their expanding team.This is a Permanent Position based in Stansted with an immediate start date.The Compressed Gas Fitter will be responsible for repairing, testing and overhauling valve and cylinder assemblies. They will also undertake hydrostatic testing of cylinders and charging of complete assemblies (up to 4500 PSI).The responsibilities of the Compressed Gas Fitter will involve:– Striping down of valve assemblies– Replacing standard spares as part of the overhaul process– Inspecting individual parts and replacing defective items– Thorough cleaning of components– Building up valve assemblies ready for testing on various flow rigs– Hydrostatic testing of cylinders in accordance with the Department of Transport requirements– Reassembling of the valve and cylinder components– Charging the complete assemblies to pressures of up to 4500 PSI– Providing ad hoc support as required to the Safety Inflatable TeamIn order to be successful in this role, the Compressed Gas Fitter will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:– Prior working experience of interpreting and following detailed compliance manuals essential– Previous experience of working with oxygen systems, charging cylinders and overhauling oxygen components highly desirable– Training in charging and overhaul of oxygen cylinders and oxygen highly desirable– Previous experience of working in an engineering/workshop environment highly desirable– Numerate and literate – minimum GCSE or equivalent essential– Right to live and work in the UKIf you think this is the role for you and you have the necessary skills and attributes, please apply today or contact JMC Aviation for more details.Please note that due to the high level of applicants we will only be contacting shortlisted candidates regarding this role.For this opportunity JMC Aviation Ltd is acting as an employment agency.
