Salary: Grade 6 (£30,487 – £36,024 p.a. depending on experience)

The Conference and Events function plays a significant role in supporting the University’s strategic vision and world-class aspiration through its reputation for the successful delivery and professionalism of conferences, events and other services. The team’s income has grown significantly over the past year, and further growth is expected both on and off campus, including a new city centre venue which was launched in Spring 2023. 

To realise this ambition, we seek to appoint a Senior Sales Executive to lead on reactive enquiries ensuring excellent customer service for both internal and external customers. The Senior Sales Executive will act as team leader for the reactive sales function, ensuring process and best practice is followed, taking responsibility for the enquiries inbox and data input into the system.

With proven experience of working within a commercial sales environment, as a Senior Sales Executive, you will have excellent experience and understanding of working within the Conference and Events industry.   You will have enthusiasm for working in an events team and will have a can-do attitude and a drive for sales generation and achieving targets. You will be a natural leader and act as the reactive sales lead to support the team and drive business. You will be an excellent team player and able to communicate and build relationships at all levels.
