The Nevada Department of Wildlife looks to hire multiple seasonal positions (Conservation Aids/Fisheries Technicians) to assist fisheries biologists with summer 2024 field work. The positions are located across the state with opportunities in: Reno, Winnemucca, Fallon, Elko, Ely, and other locations. There are two term lengths available depending on location, 3 month or 6 month. The selected applicant(s) will assist fisheries biologists with native fish and sportfish population management in northern Nevada. Selected applicants will gain valuable experience surveying a variety of freshwater species including threatened species such as Lahontan cutthroat trout. Specific job duties and responsibilities vary by duty station.
