Conservation Officer

Buglife Cymru is seeking to appoint a part-time Conservation Officer to deliver positive outcomes for pollinators across Cardiff. Working closely with the Cardiff Council Parks Service the Officer will support delivery of Cardiff Council’s Pollinator Plan, input into the Cardiff Nature Recovery Action Plan, promote uptake of the Pollinator Pledge, deliver events and activities, and support individuals and communities to take action for pollinators.

We are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic person who is able to work as part of a team. A keen interest in outreach and education is essential along with an understanding of pollinators and their conservation priorities. Excellent communication and engagement skills are vital to the success of this role as you will be delivering workshops, talks and training.

Experience of working with project partners, community groups, volunteers and landowners is required. Project management and budgetary experience is desirable.

This is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025, based on 3 days per week. You will be based at our Cardiff office in St.Mellons, although some home working will be possible. A flexible approach to the working pattern will be considered for the successful candidate.
