Are you a skilled Construction Project Manager looking for a new opportunity? Join this large retailers Property department and become part of a forward-thinking company with excellent career prospects. They are a major retailer with over 400 locations, including High Street, Tourist, and Destination sites, specialising in Fashion and Home.The RoleAs a Project Manager, you will oversee the entire process of fitting out new stores, from initial site surveys to store openings. This includes obtaining competitive tenders, managing capital budgets, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure a high-quality retail environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate potential sites to determine feasibility and establish capital budgets.
  • Collaborate with architects, agents, surveyors, and retail teams to finalise store layouts and finishes.
  • Manage the tender process for shop fitting works, ensuring competitive pricing.
  • Coordinate planning approvals and other necessary permissions.
  • Supervise contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Address any post-opening issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to colleagues.
  • Assist in developing new store concepts.
  • Build and maintain a reliable network of contractors.

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent budgeting and cost management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
