The Communication Section, UNICEF Thailand Country Office is seeking an individual consultant to enhance the digital content production capabilities of UNICEF Thailand and address the urgent need to meet the increasing demands for content across UNICEF Thailand’s social media channels. The Digital Content Creator will support the Communication Team, as well as working with programme and fundraising teams, to produce engaging and creative digital content for all of UNICEF Thailand social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.

Home-based modality.
Under the direct supervision of the Communication Specialist, and working closely with various communication, fundraising, and programme section colleagues, the Digital Content Creator will undertake the following tasks:
1. Assignment: Collaborate with the Communication, Programme, and Fundraising teams to conceptualize and prepare script/storyboard for the video content. Shoot and edit compelling video content tailored for each UNICEF Thailand’s social media platforms.
Expected deliverable #1: Finished video content for routine, ad-hoc, or mini campaign communications.
Delivery schedule #1: At least 5 video content each month
2. Assignment: Collaborate with the Communication Team to conceptualize and prepare the design for the visual content for use across UNICEF Thailand’s social media platforms, including infographics, banners, and post images.
Expected deliverable #2: Visual content for routine or ad-hoc communications.
Deliverable schedule #2: At least 10 visual content each month
3. Assignment: Assist in identifying new trends / new digital influencers within youth groups or issues important to youth and relevant to UNICEF such as climate change, online safety, and mental health.
Expected deliverable #3: Identified trends/ influencers name.
Deliverable schedule #3: At least 20 digital influencers identified within the contract duration.
Duration of Contract: 15 March 2024 – 14 March 2026
Duty Travel: The consultant will be based in Bangkok, Thailand and will work under the direct supervision of the contract supervisor. The consultant may be required to travel outside Bangkok for field visits, meetings, workshops, or other activities related to the assignment. The travel costs, including airfare, accommodation, and daily subsistence allowances (DSA), will be covered by UNICEF Thailand in accordance with its rules and regulations. However, the travel must be pre-approved by the contract supervisor and the relevant budget holder before the consultant makes any travel arrangements. The consultant is responsible for obtaining the necessary visas, permits, and insurance for the travel.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
