The Opportunity?
Are you seeking a new challenge? We are looking for Consultant Ecologists to join our
passionate, dynamic and friendly team in either our Cheltenham or Cirencester offices!
Who are EDP?
The Environmental Dimension Partnership Ltd (EDP) is a highly regarded environmental planning
and design consultancy with a reputation for delivering a high-quality service for our clients.
We seek to create positive change; delivering optimum value for our clients; for the
environment and for people. As well as seeking to make a difference at the project level, EDP
offsets the personal carbon footprint of everyone within the team.
At EDP we are a diverse and inclusive workplace where every member of the team contributes and
where we all individually have a role to play. Our culture (The EDP Way) is a result of our
behaviours, our collaboration, how we share our perspectives and by working to this we ensure
that our team can be anyone’s team. We will encourage you to share your perspective and we
celebrate individuality to ensure the team is a place for all of us to belong and grow.
The Role
Benefiting from working in a multidisciplinary consultancy team, you will provide sound
ecological advice and project support to Project Managers across a range of projects which vary
in size, types and complexities.
You will be positive, proactive and solution focussed, have had prior experience working in
environmental consultancy, and be willing to contribute to a supportive work environment. You
will be effective at working on your own and as part of a 30+ strong ecology team located
across our three offices.
Your Skills
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from ornithologists and/or bat
licensed ecologists, including those with bat tree climbing skills. In addition, you will have
a relevant degree, a good understanding of ecological consultancy, the current planning system
and environmental legislation, and have, or be eligible for, membership with CIEEM. A full,
valid UK driving licence is essential with access to a vehicle for business use preferred.
Learning and Development:
We will always invest in our team and we have excellent learning and development opportunities
to help you grow and develop personally and professionally. This includes an extensive internal
training programme to expand your knowledge of our multi-disciplinary projects and roles within
these.
EDP Benefits
The salary for this post is to be agreed based on qualifications and experience and will form
part of an excellent benefits package, including 5% employer pension contributions; private
health insurance; life assurance; 30 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays and birthday
holiday); TOIL system; hybrid and flexible working, a profit share bonus scheme; carbon
offsetting for every employee; and many more!
What do you need to do now?
To apply, please email your CV and a covering letter to Team EDP ([email protected]).
We will be reviewing applications as they are received, with the intention to appoint as soon
as possible.
We are an equal opportunities employer and can also offer family friendly and flexible working
arrangements.
