Consultant – Expert on Istanbul Protocol

During the implementation of the assigned tasks, the selected consultant will discuss with OHCHR ROCA progress in the provision of services and development of deliverables. If necessary, the implementation approach will be changed. The selected consultant will provide a detailed report summarizing the training delivery, evaluation results, participant feedback, as well as recommendations on possible future engagement with the training course participants. To accomplish the above tasks, the consultant is requested to:  Develop the training using adult learning principles and interactive methodologies, including role-plays, small group work, simulations, and case studies. The expert is expected to create a safe and participatory learning environment that encourages critical thinking, peer learning, and practical application of the Istanbul Protocol.  Integrate a gender- and disability- sensitive approach in training content and facilitation  Work in close consultation/cooperation with OHCHR ROCA, another international expert and a national expert;  Provide regular updates on the progress to OHCHR ROCA as and when required;  Submit required reports no later than XX October 2025 and XX Mar 2026 accordingly. Results 1. Training agenda and methodology; 2. Customized training materials and handouts; 3. Presentations and practical exercises; 4. Pre- and post-training test and evaluation tools (at least 75 percent of participants demonstrate increased knowledge on torture documentation standards in post-training assessments); 5. Final training report (in English), including participant evaluation summary.
