The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) is performing an in-depth analysis of the role of public policies on migration decisions in Guatemala. This assessment requires developing a theoretical framework for empirical testing combining aggregate and detailed micro data, as migration decisions are generally influenced by several factors and public policies may materialize in the form of investments or expenditures across multiple channels (provision of public services, government spending, participation in local labor markets, and infrastructure). The Consultant will perform project activities related to literature review; economic modeling; data processing and statistical analysis; and report drafting.
