Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Head of the Policy and Reporting Unit of the Guidance, Learning and Reporting Section (GLRS), the consultant will have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the drafting and review processes of the 2023 Report of the Secretary-General on Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF).
• Provide support to GLRS in drafting the 2023 CERF Annual Report and the 2023 Annual Country-based Pooled Funds (CBPFs) Synthesis Report.
• Function as secretariat for the newly established task team focused on simplification of the new Grants Management System (OneGMS) joint CBPF/CERF online project proposal form and related guidance. This includes maintaining meeting records, drafting the guidance materials, and liaising with Information Management System and Data Analytics Unit (IMSDAU) on implementing the agreed changes.
• Support the roll out of other new products under the guidance and learning portfolio that GLRS seeks to strengthen.
• Support GLRS in the peak period of annual reporting on other key deliverables, such as public information products, infographics, inputs to various reports, and talking points.
Qualifications/special skills
Master’s degree in international relations, public relations, communication, journalism, or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience in working on communications in the context of Humanitarian Pooled Funds is required
Experience in data analysis supporting the production of communication products is required
Experience in designing and producing advocacy materials is desirable
Languages
Fluency in English is a requirement. Knowledge of other official UN languages is considered a significant advantage.
