NCIS helps its clients in achieving their environmental and conservation targets by providing science-based solutions and technical support. What we’re Looking:
Roles and responsibilities:
- Do independent research on various topics as per the project requirements.
- Create survey schedules and questionnaires and manage field data teams (if necessary)
- Organize and clean datasets gathered by project partners.
- Analyze the data using various tools and soft wares.
- Produce meaningful insights from the project data.
- Write rigorous reports and policy briefs using the data and field insights.
- Provide research and policy outputs.
What You’ll Bring:
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters in data science/statistics/economics with 0-1 years of experience working on primary and secondary datasets OR bachelor’s with major in Statistics with 1-2 years of experience.
- Research oriented focus.
- Having knowledge of Punjab’s Agriculture and its challenges.
- Capable of handling large primary datasets / experience working with primary agriculture datasets.
- Knowledge of various data analysis tools like R or Stata.
- Well versed with data visualization techniques and soft wares.
Consultancy Duration and Fees:
The position offers six months’ consultancy effective from the date of joining. The extension of this consultancy shall be subject to the requirement, fund availability and mutual agreement. The travel and communication expenses shall be reimbursed based on actuals within the limit prescribed in the organisational policy.
