Au Burundi, l’UNICEF a un portefeuille de responsabilités très variées, mais toutes avec le même objectif qui est d’appuyer le gouvernement et les autres parties prenantes à réaliser les droits économiques, sociaux, culturels, politiques et civils des enfants. Le programme de pays de l’UNICEF au Burundi vise à améliorer la vie des enfants et des femmes dans les domaines clés suivants : Santé infantile et maternelle, la nutrition, l’éducation, Protection de l’enfant, Eau, assainissement et hygiène, politique sociale et plaidoyer, Autonomisation des adolescents et résilience des communautés et Réponse humanitaire.

C’est dans ce cadre que s’inscrit la consultance qui va développer tous les supports et outils de formation, ainsi qu’un plan de formation pour les principaux acteurs en matière de changement social et comportemental.

Comment pouvez-vous faire la différence?

Pour être un champion “pour chaque enfant”, vous devrez avoir…

• Diplôme universitaire supérieur en sciences sociales, genre, développement, éducation, communication, ou tous autres domaines appropriés ;
• Au moins 5 ans d’expériences, dans la recherche, la définition d’approche, l’élaboration des stratégies et la production d’outils de communication au niveau communautaire;
• Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
• Bonnes connaissances du contexte du Burundi et des défis à relever au niveau communautaire notamment dans les questions eau, hygiène et assainissement.
• Capacité de travailler de façon indépendante, sous pression, avec la contrainte de produire des résultats de qualités ;
• Une expertise reconnue des droits de l’enfant ou de l’un des principaux domaines de travail de l’UNICEF (santé, WASH, nutrition, protection de l’enfance, politique sociale, éducation, genre, VIH/sida) est considérée comme un atout;
• Une expérience de travail sur l’approche baby WASH est un atout important.
• La maîtrise du français est obligatoire.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
