Role Overview
We’re looking for a committed full-time content creator to join our ‘creative resistance’ to stop the rise of right-wing extremism in Germany ahead of the European elections, from March until June 15.
We need all hands on deck to break the wave of extremists surging across the continent, and are looking for creative, passionate, dedicated individuals to join our team for the 2024 EU elections and make sure that #NeverAgain isn’t just a slogan, but a promise.
If this sounds exciting to you and you’re keen to leverage your organising or campaigning skills to defend democracy and human rights, then do apply. We’re hiring as of today.
The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of content creation, from storyboarding to editing – especially for social media – and great experience in crafting compelling content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and other digital channels.
This position is a unique opportunity to shape Europe’s future and keep the voices of hatred and division at bay.
Responsibilities
- Develop engaging content, including video, graphics and visuals, tailored to specific European elections campaign objectives and target audiences.
- Collaborate with the campaign team to brainstorm and execute creative content ideas that resonate with voters across Europe.
- Write and edit persuasive copy for social media posts, blog articles, email newsletters, and other digital platforms.
- Monitor social media trends and engage with online communities to amplify campaign messages and foster meaningful conversations.
- Work closely with team members to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all campaign materials.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of content strategies and optimize future campaigns.
Qualifications
- Experience creating content for political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or media outlets.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and grammatically correct content under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using social media and chat platforms (incl. TikTok and WhatsApp), and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Mailchimp).
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is a plus.
- Knowledge of German politics, institutions, and electoral processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to interpret data and adjust content strategies accordingly.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English is an advantage.
