About You
The Continuous Improvement Analyst will be responsible for working with stakeholders in the R&I Portfolio and other business units to assess end to end processes, map them when required, and find optimised solutions for implementation. The Analyst will have a passion for improving ways of working with the view to enhancing both the professional staff and researcher experience. Additionally, this role will support the delivery of initiatives within the R&I portfolio including any planning and reporting requirements to ensure a transparent process. The Continuous Improvement Analyst will produce business requirements, process documentation and workflows, knowledge articles, risk assessments and presentation packs.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:

  • Demonstrated   history   of   behaviour   aligned   to   the   RMIT   values,   leadership   capabilities   and professional capability framework.  
  • Excellent  communication,  relationship  building  and  negotiation  skills  with  the  ability  to  work collaboratively  with  academic  and  professional  staff  from  diverse  backgrounds  and  portfolios  to understand the problems and enable finding solutions. 
  • Extensive experience in supporting project or initiative delivery, data analytics and visualisation, and reporting.
  • Outstanding  analytical  and  problem-solving  skills  and  the  capacity  to  develop  creative  solutions  to solve stakeholder needs based on the problem statements whether that is improvement to existing processes or the delivery of new business processes or digital enhancements.
  • Proven experience and expertise in developing process documentation or deep diving into existing process  documentation  and  workflows  with  the  view  to  formulating  solutions  for  continuous improvement. 
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse and develop business requirements from a range of clients and stakeholders to deliver business optimisation initiatives.   
  • Attention to detail whilst working to tight deadlines and or changing direction.
  •  Demonstrated  ability  to  work  autonomously  without  supervision,  make  informed  decisions,  and contribute to team outcomes.
  •  Demonstrated  ability  to  exercise  discretionary  judgement,  assess  priorities  and  manage  workloads while maintaining accuracy.
  • High-level proficiency in computer software packages with accuracy, attention to detail and ability to learn new technical skills and excellent writing skills to produce presentations and reports on findings.
