The Organisation:

Noah’s Ark is an NFP community organisation providing early childhood services to children (primarily from ages 0-12), with disabilities and additional needs. They are the largest specialised early childhood intervention service operating across Victoria, NSW, and the ACT.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the CEO the COO will take responsibility for reporting on all aspects of organisational performance. The COO is part of the Senior Leadership Team, developing key strategies for performance improvement and managing the growth and development opportunities within the organisation.

The position will lead staff in developing the organisation’s culture and governance, ensuring alignment with its vision and strategic plan. Holding accountability for Finance, People, Culture and Quality, Infrastructure, and ITC functions. and ensure compliance with all external contacts and requirements.

In summary, the key accountabilities include:

  • Oversee the organisation’s operations
  • Oversee the development and implementation of all contracts and agreements
  • Develop and implement financial strategies collaborating with the executive team
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative and quality requirements
  • Establish policies that promote the organisation’s culture and vision
  • Maintain respectful and effective relationships internally and externally
  • Monthly reporting to the CEO

The Candidate:

  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and management skills in the NFP sector
  • Understanding and support of contemporary views of the inclusion of people with disabilities
  • Growth and business partnering mindset
