This recruitment process will be used to cover a period of maternity leave until 30 June 2025, with the possibility of extensions (up to 2 years total appointment) and/or permanency (to occur within two years of appointment), subject to business requirements. We will consider a secondment opportunity for this role.

About the role

In this role you will support and work closely with the Managing Solicitor through effective coordination of the Family Legal Advice and Virtual Office teams, with a focus on project management. Maintaining strong effective relationships with external stakeholders and internally across teams at Legal Aid WA is a key part of this role. You will also supervise and support the Team Leader and participate as a senior member of the team, proactively developing, organising, and delivering internal and external training.

  • High level oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and an ability to build constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An ability to work well under pressure.
  • An ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Supervisory experience.
