YWCA NT has been supporting women, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and women from a culturally and linguistically diverse background, in the Territory since 1969. We provide local housing, services and support programs that enable women, their families and other priority groups to find stability and feel safe and secure, so they can build the future they want.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Coordinator to join our CASY House Team in our Darwin office. This is offered on an ongoing part time basis. (9 day fortnight)
The role is responsible for leading the development and delivery of a youth crisis accommodation facility by providing guidance, support and supervision to the team.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social Work or relevant area
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role with youth, 24 hour crisis homelessness support, leading people and developing employee capability
- Comprehensive knowledge of the youth and homelessness sector including legislation, governance, policy, and processes
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels based on trust and collaboration
- Concise and tailored communication and strong interpersonal skills
This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements. This includes:
- Completion of a national criminal history check
- A valid relevant state-based working with children permit.
