The NSD and Membership Services Coordinator for the Central America Delegation supports National Societies (NS) in achieving NSD Framework goals aligned with the IFRC 2030 strategy. He/she offers tailored strategic advice and coordination to enhance NS ‘operational effectiveness and capacity. As part of the Membership Services team, he/she facilitates learning processes, supports organizational development, and manages the NSD portfolio. Collaborating with other cluster units, he/she will advance the NSD agenda and manage associated risks. This role involves providing comprehensive technical support to enhance NSD initiatives and maintaining productive relationships with National Societies’ senior management. The focus is on updating operational methods, addressing internal challenges related to organizational development, and ensuring relevant, accountable, and sustainable support to National Societies. This includes establishing legal, ethical, and financial foundations and implementing effective planning and execution systems. In addition, he/she works closely with the Head of the Country Cluster and deputize as needed.
Organizational Development covers all the structural aspects of an organization: vision, governance, strategy, performance and risk management, reporting system, volunteering, leadership, resource mobilization, quality processes, etc. Altogether, the organization can deliver efficiently its core business services. A developed or strong National Society will contribute to the strength of the IFRC and the Movement.
Under the policy direction of Strategy 2030 and other related doctrine or policy guidance documents, such as the conceptual and operational framework of the National Society Development Framework, the NSD and Membership Services coordinator supports organizational development initiatives to modernize Central America National Societies addressing key internal challenges.

Required
University degree in Management, Organisational Development, International Relations Public Administration/policy and/or any other relevant area
Preferred
Advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent)
Required
Minimum of 5 years of working experience in humanitarian and or development sector
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in project management
3 years of relevant professional experience of progressive career development and growth, working in the RC/RC Movement (National Society, IFRC or ICRC,)
Preferred
Working knowledge of IFRC’s Organizational Development and volunteer development policies and tools including the NSD Framework, National Society Strategic Planning and National Society Self-Assessment
