About You
As the Coordinator, Research Integrity and Governance, you will play a pivotal role in supporting research integrity procedures and processes at RMIT, our research integrity education and training program, and other projects, activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Your contribution also extends to offering expert advice to the RMIT research community as well as providing governance support to related committees, networks and working groups, as required.
Your role is about more than just procedures; it’s about making a meaningful impact by supporting excellent and trustworthy research conducted at RMIT. You’ll be working hand-in-hand with senior staff, world leading researchers, and other internal and external stakeholders, to not only support the day-to-day but to innovate and enhance the way we operate. RMIT is globally acknowledged for its commitment to ethical practices and excellence. To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
- A solid understanding of research integrity and governance-related legislation, regulations and guidelines, preferably within a tertiary research environment, and the ability to interpret these for varied stakeholders.
- High level of commitment to service excellence, including preparedness to proactively engage with stakeholders and persist with complex issues to achieve timely resolution.
- You’re adept at communicating across levels, influencing outcomes with your strong interpersonal skills, and negotiating with tact and professionalism.
- Due to the confidential and sensitive nature of information handled by this position, you have a proven track record of maintaining strict confidentiality and exercising sound judgement.
- A solid understanding of and experience in the provision of governance and/or secretariat support for research-related committees, preferably in a tertiary research environment.
- Proven expertise in efficiently organising, prioritising and completing multiple tasks set by different stakeholders, all while upholding high-quality standards and adhering to deadlines.
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification with experience in research integrity, governance, or a related field.
