The MacDonnell region is located in the centre of Australia. Covering 270,000sq km and with an estimated population approaching 7,000, it has a unique beauty with picturesque water holes, magnificent flora and fauna, red desert sands and rugged mountain ranges.
This position will be based in our Alice Springs Office, which is the regional headquarters to councils’ 13 remote communities and outstation locations.
As the Coordinator Youth Services you will be responsible to oversee the delivery of the MacDonnell Regional Council (MRC) youth services programs including the provision of operational support to remote based youth services (MacYouth) teams throughout a designated region of MacDonnell Regional Council. Coordinator Youth Services will commit to achieving the objectives and strategies contained in the Councils Regional Plan.
Our successful candidate will ideally have relevant tertiary qualifications and at least 3 years relevant work experience or at least 5 years work experience within Youth Services.
