We currently have a permanent, full time opportunity for a Corporate Affairs Consultant to join our Corporate Services Division. This role will be based in our new, state of the art Head Office in Collingwood and will report to the Corporate Affairs Manager.
The Corporate Affairs Consultant role supports the bank’s responsible banking positioning through the delivery external and internal communications activity. The role is accountable for supporting the implementation of external and internal communications strategies; including for operational business changes, major projects and initiatives, and customer communications. The role is also responsible for managing short and medium term projects that contribute to the bank’s thought leadership position and strengthen the brand.

What you will be doing
- Developing and implementing innovative and engaging communications content to support our business objectives and impact focus areas
- Support the development and implementation of communication plans that support the delivery of the bank’s purpose, corporate strategy, business changes, key projects and partnerships
- Identify and assist with managing thought leadership activities including media relations, events, stakeholder engagement and partnerships
- Contributing to the bank’s internal communications program and support events including employee townhall meetings and the Annual General Meeting
- Prepare communications material to leverage the bank’s brand, investments and positions through employee and customer communication
- Support the corporate reporting processes to deliver a meaningful annual report to customers and stakeholders
- Support engagement with relevant internal and external stakeholders as required
- Monitoring social, environmental and economic issues relevant to the work of the bank.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or business/relevant field
- Understanding of corporate social responsibility principles and practice
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in the communications field, in-house or agency experience welcomed and working with digital platforms
- Ability to form strong working relationships with stakeholders and partners
- Ability to think critically and analytically
- Strong attention to detail
