WHO ARE WE?

Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse, and homelessness.

Our focus is to create caring communities where kids can feel safe, form meaningful relationships, and begin to heal from traumatic experiences. For the past 30 years, our proven Model of Care has successfully transformed the lives of over 1,000 young people using a range of evidence-based strategies.

We now educate and support Foster Carers in the same way, so that they too can take care of some of Australia’s most vulnerable children.

HOW WILL I HELP?

Bringing your incredible relationship skills, events experience and positive attitude you will increase the dollars coming through the door for the vital programs that Lighthouse runs. As Corporate Partnerships Coordinator your role is to build lasting relationships with business partners while keeping existing relationships fresh and fruitful. Ensuring support for the cause is continued in a long-term capacity, is key.

You will be enthusiastic in having conversations to unleash the potential of people and business partners through tailored proposals and demonstration of how a partnership with Lighthouse will make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people.

Working collaboratively and in a tight-knit group, you will be the go-to person for day-to-day and on-ground engagement activities with partners.

With a strategic focus, what is crucial is a positive ‘roll up your sleeve’s kind of attitude’ – one that makes our partners feel genuinely valued, excited and inspired to support our cause.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

First and foremost, interpersonal skills are a must, with a level of maturity and understanding needed when working with those who use our services.

From a professional standpoint you will require:

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Not-for-profit experience
  • High levels of emotional intelligence are crucial, enabling the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator to change their messaging to suit a variety of diverse individuals.
  • Work/life experience with a track record of successful communication and measurable positive outcomes.
  • Prior experience in a similar role, or experience within a company in a partnership or engagement position.

Other key skills which would be beneficial:

  • Tertiary Qualification in related field
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Storytelling is a key part of engaging with our Corporate supporters, so communication skills in this area are highly valued.
  • An ability to manage multiple competing projects and their budgets

For this role you will please note you will also need:

  • Current driver’s licence
  • Criminal Records check
  • Current Working with Children check
