Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern to join the Corporate Partnerships team.
The Corporate Partnerships team is a dynamic group of individuals that collaborate to develop strategic partnerships with some of the world’s largest corporations. We work with companies to address the unique and complex challenges facing children, their families and communities, while simultaneously creating value for the companies’ businesses and brands. We develop long-term, shared value partnerships that encompass programmatic funding, innovation, product donations, cause marketing campaigns, advocacy and employee engagement.
As a Corporate Partnerships intern, you will support our efforts to cultivate new partners and grow existing partners in a variety of industries through research, writing and project management.
You will be in a unique position to learn about the corporate philanthropic landscape and trends, our programs in health, education and protection and have the opportunity to network within the organization to develop a firm understanding of how NGOs and the private sector make an impact together.
You will gain transferable skills that would be applicable to a variety of roles, but the ideal candidate will see this opportunity as a stepping-stone to a career in the non-profit industry, fundraising, marketing, sales or client services.
What You’ll be Doing (Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Impact)
- Identify and research strategic markets and specific companies that could be a good fit for Save the Children
- Develop account briefs on corporate partners to help support the cultivation and evolution of partnership plans
- Assist the team with the development of compelling materials and collateral (i.e. proposals, grant reports, presentations, marketing materials, articles, etc.)
- Shadow team members in meetings/calls and support projects as needed
- Complete tasks pertaining to donor management and administration
- Track projects and present learnings to the team upon completion of internship
Required Qualifications
- Must be an actively enrolled in an Associate, Bachelor, Master or other post high school education program, or have graduated within 6 months of intern program start date
- Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Currently eligible to work in the U.S.
