About our Organisation

The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of
human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues
in isolation.

We campaign for change, we support farming innovation, we serve healthy food in communities, we
support and grow the organic market, and we protect forests. We couldn’t do any of this without
our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world
where it’s needed the most.

About the Opportunity

Come and join our creative and exciting team, (there is never dull moment) and help to secure
and deliver transformational partnerships to support the work on the ground of the Soil
Association. We are a small but growing team working together to deliver a challenging income
target. We build relationships, delivering brilliant partnerships and ensuring excellent
stewardship. There is not a “typical” day or week, you may be organising a lunch and learn
session, invoicing or sorting issues with our database. We work with a cross section of
businesses including retailers, law firms and banks, so professionalism, and the ability to
remain calm under pressure are essential. We are part of the wider fundraising team, which meet
regularly to share ideas and information.

About You

You need to have a strong commitment to customer relationship management and have the ability
to deal with an ever-changing list of priorities. You need to be resourceful, able to work
independently but be happy to work as part of team. You will keep the team’s processes running
smoothly, have an eye for detail and ability to research new prospects. With support you will
manage your own partnerships. You will be responsible for the team’s comms and marketing via
our website, regular newsletters, and social media. You will also support on delivering and
preparing events. You need to be highly organised, can think on your feet and not be shy of
developing strong internal and external relationships. In line with our values, you will need
to be happy to “get your hands dirty” from talking to visitors at an event or getting involved
with helping to host companies at farm visits.
