JOB PURPOSE:
The Country Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring contractual compliance for the different donors by ensuring that the program staff and partners have sufficient financial capacity/skills to deliver against contractual commitments.
The Country Finance Manager will lead on partner financial reviews and also contribute to the fulfilment of an internal financial quality assurance role.
The role requires familiarity with or ability to quickly grasp compliance requirements of the different donors for the program as well as knowledge and experience of basic local partnership management principles including, partner systems assessment & reviews, compliance capacity building, and support in reporting.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
ESSENTIAL
- A Holder of a university degree of a finance/accounting discipline
- Comprehensive knowledge and a minimum of 5 years of proven management experience in financial management activities, such as: budgeting, forecasting, and reporting as well as evidence of effective decision-making skills and a critical focus on the delivery of agreed results within time and budget constraints and to expected standards.
- Experience of, or demonstrable understanding of, donor contract management and compliance, around contracts, budgets and reporting.
- Sound knowledge and experience of Restricted funds management and ability to work with/manage finances of multi-donor grants.
- Excellent communication skills, in written and verbal English, with strong persuasive skills
- Ability to work in demanding situations under pressure in a team or independently with minimum supervision and deliver against team objectives
Desirable
- Experience in dealing with Frauds and investigations.
