We are looking for an accomplished and strategic Country Manager – Germany to lead our Generic Formulations business, with a strong focus on tender business and AOK tenders. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth from the current €35 million to €50 million in the next fiscal year, through effective tender management, strategic partnerships, and operational leadership.The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a Country Head or equivalent leadership role for generic formulations in Germany. Prior experience and deep understanding of AOK tender processes and hospital procurement systems will be a strong asset. Key Responsibilities:Business LeadershipLead the P&L responsibility for the German generics business, setting and achieving revenue and margin targets.Develop and implement country-specific commercial strategies aligned with global goals.Oversee execution of sales, marketing, market access, regulatory, and distribution plans.Tender ManagementDrive the business through strategic participation in AOK and hospital tenders.Develop competitive pricing strategies for tenders while ensuring margin protection.Build internal capabilities for proactive tender monitoring, documentation, and bidding processes.Client and Stakeholder EngagementBuild strong relationships with hospital groups, procurement bodies, wholesalers, health authorities, and local stakeholders.Act as the key point of contact for all government and institutional contracts.Cross-functional CoordinationCollaborate with supply chain, regulatory affairs, QA/QC, marketing, and legal teams to ensure smooth market operations.Work closely with global and regional teams to align local execution with company-wide strategic objectives.Team Leadership & GovernanceLead and mentor the local team to deliver high performance, operational efficiency, and compliance.Ensure all business practices comply with local regulations and company policies.Required Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or related field. MBA preferred.Experience:10–15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record in generic formulations.Minimum 5 years of experience as Country Head / Country Manager in Germany.Demonstrated success in handling tender business, especially AOK tenders and hospital channel in Germany.Key Skills and Attributes:Deep knowledge of German healthcare system and pricing mechanismsStrong experience in tendering, pricing strategy, and public procurementLeadership and team development skillsFluency in German and English (mandatory)Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management capabilitiesStrong commercial and analytical thinking Travel Requirements:Occasional domestic and international travel as needed for business reviews, conferences, and corporate meetings.Compensation:Competitive salary package with performance-based incentivesComprehensive benefits and allowances as per German labor laws
