Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Education 

• Recognized high quality educator with a completed or nearly complete doctoral degree in a relevant education field.

• Masters degree in an applicable field may be considered if combined with significant relevant experience.

Experience 

• Expert knowledge and experience of course content including: teaching experience such as course planning and program development as well as classroom management .

• Extensive successful experience teaching similar courses at the graduate level.

• Experience as a School Administrator, Community Leader and/or Master Teacher preferably in the Quebec education system at the elementary and secondary level.

• Expert knowledge of course content Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP)

• Familiarity with the 12 professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation

Other:

• A commitment to working with a team of committed and engage instructors

• Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting minimum of  2 weeks in advance of the course start date.

• Knowledge of the impact and proven record of integrating pedagogical approaches anchored in equity, diversity and inclusion

• Familiarity using myCourses, Zoom, and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learing experiences

• Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset

• Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital and pedagogical teaching and learning tools

Other information:

• Contract Start Date: 1 week before course start date.

• Contract End Date: 2 weeks after course end date.
