Northwest Youth Corps – Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve

Summary: The National Park Service is recruiting two interns starting May 2024 to provide educational and interpretation assistance at Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve (CRMO). The members will serve with the interpretive and education teams within the Visitor Services Division. The park anticipates over 325,000 visitors this summer. It is the Centennial Year (100 years since our founding) and we will be having lots of fun events to celebrate. For more info check out: go.nps.gov/CRMO100
About Northwest Youth Corps (NYC):
Northwest Youth Corps was created in 1984 to offer teenagers and young adults an education-based, work experience modeled after the historic Civilian Conservation Corps of the 1930’s. Today, we serve over 1,000 youth and young adults each year across a four-state region who restore critical habitat, build trails, lead volunteers, educate youth, and respond to local and national disasters.
Duties and Responsibilities: Major duties are related to learning and working alongside personnel in visitor services at Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve (CRMO). The intern will communicate with the public about the natural and cultural resources of CRMO, staff the visitor center and provide orientation and information about CRMO and the National Park Service including recreational opportunities and park regulations.
