Position Description

Advertised Job Summary The Creative Media Producer, reporting to the Associate Athletics Director of Creative Media, is to create video and photo content for all of Gamecocks Athletics, with an emphasis on baseball and our soccer programs.
Responsibilities include:

  • The ideation, development, and production of creative/recruiting content for Gamecock Olympic Sports.
  • This position will strive to create high-level content that the teams can use to recruit top prospective athletes to the University, while also elevating the program’s brand.
  • Produce and share content that follows the voice, tone, and messaging on all USC social media outlets.
  • Manage and assist in the coordination of a detailed content schedule.
  • Manage, lead, train, develop, direct, and oversee a group of students that could be assigned to specific sports.
  • Proactively create content that helps increase USC Olympic Sports social audience, drives interactions with the Gamecock brand and increases the program’s online reach and impact.
  • Create, produce, shoot, and edit a variety of video content for a targeted audience, including the development and production of content geared towards specific recruits.
  • Format video content for a variety of digital platforms including web, social media outlets, mobile devices, and broadcast.

This position will also work closely with the Football Creative Team and will be held to the same creative and brand standards. Candidates should have a strong understanding of the college athletics landscape, experience in content production for social media, and an optimistic, team-oriented mindset.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications Understanding of digital media and its use in collegiate athletics strongly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Duties

Job Duty Responsible for the ideation, development, capture, creation, and management of creative assets as needed. These include, but are not limited to, photo shoots, video shoots, and content organization. Serve as main creative contact for soccer and baseball programs.
