Cruise Manager

This an exciting job opportunity for someone looking to work a summer season in Greece on a small tourist boat.  This boat in Lefkada (Ionian Islands), offers the Marine Adventure cruise, a snorkel/marine wildlife excursion, running daily from early June to the end of September, with a maximum of 15 guests each day.   We are currently recruiting for a Cruise Manager.

The Marine Adventure cruise is a snorkel tour with an emphasis on marine wildlife. We visit local beaches and bays for swimming and snorkeling, and guests are informed about the local wildlife. A BBQ lunch is served on board. We are looking for a Cruise Manager to run this cruise, planning and operating the daily cruises, swimming with the guests, giving information, helping to prepare and serve the lunch, and helping to ensure the boat is clean and stocked for each cruise. The Manager will also oversee ticket sales, liaise with local travel agencies and deal with online inquiries and social media.

This is a fixed-term position from the beginning of June to the end of September (17 weeks).  Accommodation is provided.

ESSENTIAL: Candidates must

• hold an EU passport or a visa/permit to work in Greece
• be available from early June to the end of September
• be a strong and confident swimmer
• be confident, friendly and have an interest in working with people and offering a high standard of customer service
• have a good level of spoken and written English

PREFERRED: Candidates should

• have a speedboat/powerboat license valid in Greece/EU
• have an interest in/experience in the field of marine biology
• have some experience working in the tourism sector
• have some experience managing social media accounts
