We are excited to be opening the doors to a stunning new dining facility, Fall 2024! This state-of-the-art facility features seven unique micro-restaurants that celebrate an expansive array of food and cultures. Designed to comfortably accommodate over 900 students, faculty, staff and guests; the facility features roof decks with views of the Oval and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace. Join our Campus Dining team to be part of University of Montana history opening this new facility!

Minimum Required Experience

• Must be able to work with a variety of kitchen related equipment and remain productive in a work environment that can be intense and demanding during peak production hours
• Must be able to work unsupervised for assigned periods of time
• Must be able to read and follow standard recipes
• Must possess basic knife skills
• Must be able to work independently or in a team setting
• Must provide excellent guest service
• Must have a working knowledge of sanitation and safety rules and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent GED and one (1) year of production cook experience

Position Details

Position Title:             Culinary Professional Cook II (Culinary Professional II)

Department:                UM Campus Dining

Work Schedule:          Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week),

     Shifts varies upon unit need, 12 months/year

Salary:                          $18.25/hr

Union Affiliation:         FOCUS-MFPE

Probationary Period:  Six months minimum
