About the role
The health promotion team works in alignment with cohealth’s vision, model, strategic plan and health priorities.
Our health promotion priorities support good health and prevent chronic disease and ill health by creating opportunities aligned with the Victorian Public Health and Wellbeing Plan, Community Health – Health Promotion Guidelines, and community needs.
The team works in hybrid ways, based in Footscray and may be required to work across site from time to time, or to change site as our work reaches across cohealth’s catchment.

Your duties include:
- Program delivery inclusive of community consultation, research, planning, implementation, evaluation and leadership
- Assist in facilitation of programs, including but not limited to presentation, production and artist and participant support
- Assist in the documentation of programs, including but not limited to video and photographic documentation, social media
- Maintain evaluation data sets and assist in completing relevant reports and updates as required

Our ideal candidate
- Appropriate tertiary degree and at least 2 years of experience in community-centred arts or other relevant sector/profession
- Significant work experience in community development, community arts and culture
- Experience in art practice and knowledge about a range of art forms
All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Statutory Declaration, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
