JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Custodial Superintendent, the Custodial Foreman maintains a high standard of quality cleaning services by supervising and ensuring the cleaning staff cleans and maintains all required cleaning, sanitation, and hazard standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Assists supervisor in maintaining a high quality of cleaning services for the university campus.

2. Trains and supervises staff to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner, as assigned.

3. Plans day-to-day work schedules.

4. Visits with UT staff to ensure areas are cleaned to specifications and maintains good customer relations.

5. Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships and a positive and respectful attitude with peers, subordinates, supervisors, administrators, customers, and visitors.

6. Maintains audits of employee work time; audits supplies and equipment.

7. Observes and reports maintenance problems.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.
