Your Role
The Customer Service Officer will engage in survey conversations over the phone with people that the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW (SVDP) has assisted over the last financial year. The role will involve working in a team to directly call people we’ve assisted who have agreed to be contacted for research purposes. Through asking questions from a pre-determined survey, you will also record client responses.
The Membership, Volunteers and Regional Operations (MVRO) directorate requires survey data to understand the impact of SVDP assistance in the lives of people we’ve assisted. This information will allow for data-driven strategic decisions making to be made in relation to ongoing assistance support. The information will also be used to provide evidence for funding of SVDP programs and services.
Your Responsibility
- Make phone calls to survey people that the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW has assisted, survey them, and record their responses by entering data into our systems
- Perform data entry using prescribed Society systems including Microsoft office products eg Word, Excel, Teams
- Maintain sensitivity, privacy and confidentiality when conducting surveys
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with other members of the team and with the people we’ve assisted
- Monitor and document hours and complete fortnightly timesheets
- Attend team meetings via Teams or in person where required.
- Ensure that the Society effectively safeguards children.
You Will Need
- General administrative skills
- Computer skills – proficient in using MS Word and Excel (intermediate level)
- Ability to multi-task
- Data entry skills
- Good customer service skills; able to communicate well by email and telephone
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
