The role

As the Cyber Security Manager, you’ll be at the helm of ensuring that Beyond Blue’s information assets remain secure and compliant. You’ll collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders across the organisation, driving forward secure business outcomes, systems, and tools. From strategic planning to hands-on incident response, you’ll oversee all facets of cyber security, fostering a culture of proactive protection.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Governance and Best Practices: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring industry trends and regulatory requirements, crafting and maintaining robust cyber security policies and procedures, and championing ongoing education initiatives.
  • Cyber Protection: Align cyber security objectives with business goals, develop and implement comprehensive plans , and lead the charge in managing cyber security operations and incident responses.
  • Threat Management: Oversee security management processes, including change management, configuration management, and risk assessments for third-party vendors.
  • Data Governance: Advocate for data compliance standards across the organisation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to information security protocols.

About you

To excel in this role, you’ll bring:

  • A degree in business, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing cyber security strategies.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in leading cyber incident responses and a deep understanding of industry standards such as Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) and ISO 27001.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with top-notch stakeholder management abilities.
  • A knack for organisation, prioritisation, and maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.
