Data analyst and database programmer

Are you a keen coder with a passion for programming? Can you bring diverse data sets together and use evaluation tools to turn them into a clear, accessible information base?

EHPA, the association representing the heat pump sector in Europe, is looking for a full-time specialist who can structure data and extract information to support our market intelligence work. The analyst-programmer will manage structuring, collection, and evaluation of the vast and varied data we receive from our members. After onboarding with the current programmer, she/he will take over the responsibility for the cloud-based back-end of our database. 

The role 

As the data analyst and database programmer at EHPA, you will report to the Secretary General but will be in close contact with the head of policy and the head of communication. Together with our data consultant, you will form the market intelligence team. You will be a contact point for our national associations, who provide sales and other market data to us for processing. With this data, you will shape and structure the database and keep it running and evolving in order to best extract and present the figures for our communications and advocacy work. 

Your profile

• Bachelor, master’s degree or technical school certificate in data sciences or a proven track record in working with databases.
• 1-3 years of work experience in market intelligence, data sciences or programming
• Proficiency with web coding, for example with Python and SQL including the creation of interfaces to WordPress
• Positive attitude, team spirit, creativity, willingness to learn
• Fluent English, ideally another European language
• Working permit in Belgium
