Are you keen on working with and for refugees and displacement-affected communities? Do you believe that data, when used in a responsible and appropriate manner, can make a difference for vulnerable groups? Then we have an exciting job opportunity.
Who are we?
Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an international humanitarian organization with operations in 40 countries dedicated to assisting, protecting and finding solutions for refugees, internally displaced and other conflict-affected communities.

We host global advisors for programme results and monitoring, for data collection and data analysis, for accountability to people, aid transparency, and evaluation. We provide technical support to DRC’s operations and build capacity of staff in these areas. Through our work we contribute to DRC’s programmes to be effective, and we collect and share evidence of DRC’s effectiveness, building knowledge.
About the job
To stay relevant and meet the needs of the people we serve, we are exploring new, innovative ways of using data to guide our work, planning and strategies. We are therefore working on integrating predictive analytics, big data and machine learning models in our operations. In partnership with IBM, we have developed a prototype for forecasting forced displacement. We are now exploring expanding this model to other countries, as well as developing new types of predictive analysis in different settings.
The Data Analyst will be supporting the development of innovative data models, maintaining the models and extracting the results. The role further entails enhancing the sharing and uptake of the results through data visualizations and various types of reporting.
