What we are looking for:

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our growing team of purpose-driven technology professional with a passion to work in a for-purpose organisation is essential as well as a learning mindset and collaborative attitude.

This role is a hybrid working arrangement and will be based from either our Melbourne or Sydney office.

In this hands-on role, you will need to show initiative, attention to detail and a desire to bring innovative thinking to provide improvements and efficiencies in how data is analysed and interpreted.

In this role your key accountabilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain ETL process using Python and other tools sets for data extraction, transformation and loading ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic initiatives, leveraging Power BI and other Microsoft Fabric technology stack.
  • Collaborate with SANE Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts on the initial build scope, working through backlog. Convert business requirements into technical specifications and develop BI solutions accordingly
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards, including structuring disparate data sources and developing fit for purpose visualisation.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data presented.
  • Support set up of data centric ways of working at SANE, including helping to roll out new data governance framework.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

Skills and Experience:

  • You will have extensive experience across data projects including performing data exploration, ETL, data modelling and data visualisation.
  • You will have a track record of creating impact with data visualisation tools, specifically Power BI.
  • You will have experience developing logical and physical data models, working with disparate data sources and source systems.
  • You will have knowledge of working with the Salesforce suite, including Health Cloud and Nonprofit Cloud.
  • Your interpersonal skills are key, and you will enjoy building strong relationships with a range of business and technology stakeholders.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and have demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, and Power Query.
  • Proficient in handling the full Power BI deployment lifecycle.
  • Excellent data interpretation and report writing skills are required for this role.
  • Experience in integrating systems, preferably in a not for profit or health context, to streamline and automate processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern data architecture practices to optimise data and improve efficiencies in data storage and speed of retrieval.
