Organization Mission

The World Health Organization serves as the directing and coordinating authority for public health within the United Nations system. WHO seeks to promote health, ensure everyone can attain the highest level of health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable through partnerships, people and countries.

Context

WHO EMRO monitors diseases such as Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever and other high-threat pathogens (HTPs). Online Volunteers will help collect, clean, and analyze datasets to support risk assessment and preparedness. Volunteers will strengthen their analytical and epidemiological skills while contributing to regional disease surveillance.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking 2 Online Volunteers to:

Compile and clean datasets on priority HTPs.

Conduct basic analysis and produce short analytical briefs.

Develop one dashboard or visualization to present trends.

Final Outcomes:

3 curated datasets with metadata.

2 analytical briefs (5–10 pages each).

1 interactive dashboard or visualization.

Required Skills and Experience

Background in epi/statistics/public health (any).

Proficiency in R or Power BI; strong QA and documentation.
