About Aid Gate Organization “AGO”

Aid Gate Organization (AGO) is an independent national NGO in Iraq, committed to supporting Internally Displaced Persons, returnees, and vulnerable communities across all Iraqi cities and governorates. With operations in key regions such as Kirkuk, Salah al-Din, Anbar, Nineveh, Diyala, and Basra, AGO focuses on rebuilding lives and promoting inclusivity for all, including minorities and persons with disabilities.

  1. Background

As part of efforts to enhance community resilience and inform future programming, a comprehensive and participatory risk, vulnerability, and coping assessment will be conducted in Nasiriyah and Chibayish. This assessment aims to gather firsthand data from local communities to understand their exposure to various risks, existing vulnerabilities, and coping mechanisms.

To support this activity, two experienced enumerators will be hired to collect data in the field using structured tools and participatory methods.

  1. Purpose of the Assignment

The Enumerators will be responsible for collecting high-quality qualitative and quantitative data from community members in the target locations. This will include household surveys, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews, as guided by the assessment methodology.

  1. Scope of Work

Each Enumerator will:

  • Participate in a one-day training/orientation on tools and methodology.
  • Conduct household-level surveys using mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK).
  • Facilitate or take notes during focus group discussions and key informant interviews.
  • Ensure accurate and ethical data collection, respecting confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Coordinate with the Assessment Team Leader and other enumerators to ensure full coverage of the assigned areas.
  • Submit daily progress reports and address any identified issues promptly.
  • Adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols and local cultural sensitivities.
  1. Locations & Timeline
  • Nasiriyah – 2 Enumerator
  • Chibayish – 2 Enumerator
  • Duration: 5 consecutive days, for each location
  1. Deliverables
  • Completed household surveys as per the assigned target (to be defined in the training).
  • Accurate and clean raw data entries submitted through the designated digital platform.
  • Participation in the debriefing session after data collection.
  • Brief field notes or summaries of key findings per location (optional).

     

    6.Reporting Line

  • The Enumerators will report to the Assessment Team Leader or the M&E Officer designated by the implementing organization.
