About the Project:

Mercy Hands is launching a new project in coordination with German Cooperation: Building Resilient Communities to Prevent Violent Extremism. The project will involve awareness raising and improvement of local activities available to youth and women, who will include IDPs and returnees. Through this, the project will reduce the incentives for vulnerable groups to join extremist organizations, combat and prevent violent extremism and increase social cohesion and tolerance.

The activities will include a community training session, community meetings, improvement of the centres in Jalawla, Alsa’d Iyah and Khanaqin and an art, sport and livelihood activity in each area.

Mercy Hands will hire 3 Data Collectors Officers for this project, to oversee all three centres in Jalawla, Alsa’d Iyah and in Khanaqin.

Responsibilities:

• Collect data from both direct and indirect project beneficiaries.
• Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of the collected information.
• Enter and submit data in the required formats on time.
• Work closely with the M&E Manager and field teams.

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and confidence to undergo household visits.
• Innovative, motivated and able to work under supervision.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, outlook)
