Founded in 1987, Damien Center is Indiana’s oldest and largest AIDS service organization (ASO) and serves more than 8000 individuals living with or at risk for HIV through a comprehensive, innovative approach to care and prevention. Position Summary:
The Data Coordinator (DC) works closely with Ryan White funded departments to enter and report data in a correct, efficient, and easily understood method. This position collaborates with all levels of the organization to ensure data monitoring, collection, and reporting is accurate for private and public funders, board members, and the community at large. The DC provides support to the Ryan White Grants Manager for data entry, data quality, and data reporting needs. Additionally, the RWDC assists the Director of Quality Improvement, Data Manager, Quality Team members, and Grant Writer for data management and projects as identified.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assists with agency wide data collection and cleaning.
- Assist with the UWCI reporting.
- Enter data into CAREWare for services funded through Ryan White and EHE grants.
- Assist with validating eligibility applications.
- Maintain a 1:1 match of data between systems such as CAREWare and EMR and the central data hub.
- Ensure client eligibility when entering services and cleaning data for reporting for various funders.
- Update departmental trackers with KPI daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly billing.
- Collect, analyze, and report survey results monthly.
- Create agency-wide data updates for monthly meetings.
- Collect and report monthly outcomes for Ryan White budget forecasting.
- Assist Quality Team with projects as needed.
- Assist with data cleaning to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Assist Ryan White Manager with the collection of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance measures.
- Assist with time and effort tracking and reporting.
- Identify and update missing items on the RSR at the annual report time and ongoing and as needed.
- Collaborate with the Damien contracted Grant Writer and Ryan White Grants Manager to supply data and trends as needed for grant applications and reports.
- Collecting minutes and monthly reporting of activities during the Ryan White Client Advisory Board.
- Participate in local, state, and national quality focused committees and projects. This can include attending periodic training courses, community discussions, and meetings as needed.
- Performs special assignments and other work, on an as-needed basis.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred. One to three years of data entry or analysis experience preferred with direct experience in healthcare or social services experience preferred. Experience in Electronic Medical records preferred. Experience working in the nonprofit sector (with client facing experience preferred) or medical setting preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess superior organizational and administrative skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Ability to work independently and achieve high standards of productivity, achieving deadlines and with superior product results. Strong calendaring, organizational, and document management skills required. Proactive approach to solving problems and communicating to leadership. Knowledge of office management systems, procedures, and office equipment required. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
