Data Entry-Operator – for Back up Pool (Female Only)

Main Purpose:

 

Carry out all activities related to entry of medical data into the mission database, according to MSF protocols and maintaining confidentiality, in order to have reliable and up to date information.

Accountabilities

 

  • Enter medical data (e.g. patient data, dates of visit, content of prescription, viral load, etc.) in mission’s database on a regular basis and according to MSF protocols.
  • Participate in compilation of data both from MSF structures and from collaborating health facilities.
  • Participate in the search for missing data.
  • Update files of existing patients and make any corrections needed.
  • Make regular back-ups of all data processed.
  • Look after all equipment provided and keep recording area clean and tidy, giving special importance to all patient files.

 

  • Report any issue concerning data management to superior
  • Elaborate statistical reports when required by the medical team.
  • Ensure, promote and maintain confidentiality regarding all information registered.

Main Responsibilities:

 1-Data Entry and Management:

  • Accurately enter medical data related to BEmONC (Basic Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care) activities.
  • Encode data for SRH (Sexual and Reproductive Health) activities in Al Ubur.
  • Record data for general consultations.
  • Ensure all data entry is done regularly and according to MSF protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Data Supervisor and the team to organize the files in the medical Archive

2- Data Compilation and Reporting:

  • Prepare data for the weekly and monthly medical situation report (SitRep).
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly reports.
  • Data Verification and Quality Assurance:
  • Participate in the search for missing data and ensure completeness.
  • Verify the accuracy of the data entered and correct any discrepancies.
  • Ensure regular back-ups of all data processed.

3- Data Security and Confidentiality:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information and data.
  • Look after all equipment provided and keep the recording area clean and tidy.
  • Report any issues concerning data management to the superior.
  • Statistical Reporting:
  • Generate and elaborate statistical reports when required by the medical team.

 

4-Tools and Systems:

 

  • Use DHIS2 for data entry and management.
  • Compliance and Standards:
  • Adhere to MSF protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and data security in all activities.

5- Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in data entry and database management.
  • Experience with DHIS2 or similar health information systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills
