Overview
USAID’s Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) award is a USAID funded global award, that works in tandem with country governments and local nongovernmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity development assistance and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning.
MCGL seeks an e Learning/Digital Health Officer for a two-year USAID funded program in East Jerusalem, the East Jerusalem Hospital Network (EJHN). EJHN comprises six non-profit, charitable hospitals that have a long history of providing services to patients from East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza. The EJHN program will support hospitals within the network to diversify income streams and improve quality of services for patients from the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the collection of data from its point of origin; facilitate the pre-processing of data to locate missing records and follow-up with facilities and program staff for completeness of data as necessary and enter the data in the assigned formats.
- Conduct verification and data quality checks
- Perform data entry efficiently and systematically and regularly maintain back-up of data.
- Verify accuracy of the data entered into the computer by performing periodic data quality checks; prepare and submit reports to the supervisor.
- Ensure monitoring and data quality assessment tools for specific project activities are designed, approved and being implemented.
- Support the project team in analysis, interpretation of routine project activity data
- Work closely with team members to define, measure and follow performance targets, manage implementation activities.
- Support the M&E Specialist to develop and adapt M&E systems to respond to project and donor needs
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to monitor the progress of activities
- Support the project with timely compilation and reporting of results for required indicators.
- Maintain timelines and accuracy in submitting up-to-date activity logs and completed data entries, follow-ups, and quality checks.
- Conduct/ support trainings of the data record reporters from the program facilities as needed.
- Conduct and report on data collection and performance behaviors
- Conduct regular analysis of behavioral change and data variance
- Coordinate with and provide support to hospitals staff for data cleaning and data consistency.
- Support supervisor in analyzing data and generating relevant graphs and information.
- support the team in timely dissemination of data, indicators and reports.
- Support Jhpiego’s program implementation with data-management for program decision-making as per the M&E Plans and prepare reports and factsheets.
- Coordinate and communicate with partners to support effective project data collection and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure sound functioning of the office and achievement of program goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field and certificate in advanced excel.
- 5 to 6 years of experience in compiling and analyzing Public Health Data.
- Working experience in development of Data Management Tools for Public Health Data is desired.
- Knowledge of HMIS and government portals will be preferred.
- Working experience of Advance Excel with Macro Programming is desired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with U.S. Government-funded or other donor-funded projects
