Holland & Barrett is looking for a dedicated Data Security and Governance Specialist to help us safeguard our data and enhance our operational practices.Key Requirements:

• Define and execute the Holland & Barrett data security and governance strategy, collaborating with data and privacy teams to foster awareness and promote security by design principles.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive framework for discovering and classifying data, ensuring effective access management, monitoring, and controls to prevent data exfiltration.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments, threat modeling, and code reviews in partnership with development teams to implement effective security controls.
• Develop and maintain tailored security standards and guidelines, creating reusable resources for various teams.
• Provide guidance and support to development teams on secure software production and flaw mitigation.
• Collaborate closely with legal and privacy teams to integrate requirements from ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR into engineering and operational practices.

Key Requirements:Essential:

• 3+ years of experience in data applications and services, with at least 2+ years in software development.
• In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and experience in implementing compliance controls.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, GoLang, and Rust.
• Experience with Agile methodologies like SCRUM, along with demonstrated project management skills to manage multiple security projects simultaneously.

Desired:

• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain a keen attention to detail in upholding high security standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams.
