For every child, clean water

UNICEF’s fundamental mission is to promote the rights of every child, everywhere, in everything the organization does – from programs to advocacy and operations. The equity strategy, which emphasizes the most disadvantaged and excluded children and families, translates this commitment into action. For UNICEF, equity means that all children have the opportunity to survive, develop, and reach their full potential without discrimination, bias, or favoritism. Investing in the health, education, and protection of the most disadvantaged citizens contributes to the overall growth and stability of societies, accelerating progress toward the realization of children’s human rights as outlined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
