Reporting to the Vice President, Institutional Advancement, the
Database Manager will manage the Raisers Edge NXT and Raisers Edge
Database View donor fundraising solutions. In conjunction with the
CEO and VPs of all departments, the Database Manager will be
responsible for database management and administration, including
data integrity, all reporting needs, training of advancement staff,
database security, and working closely with outside vendors to
maintain and improve internal business process workflows.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain database integrity and accuracy.
- Perform and/or oversee all gift processing duties in a timely
manner, including but not limited to gift entry, gift
acknowledgements, pledge reminders, matching gifts, and the
committed gifts feed to finance. - Work closely with Finance department to ensure that accurate
data is shared between accounting software and Raiser’s Edge NXT.
Pull all necessary reports for Finance and work closely with them
on annual audit to ensure reconciliation. - Work closely with Events and Beyond Sunday team to process all
data and information and extract information as requested. - Extract financial reports and lists for CEO when requested,
both Ad hoc and standard reports. - Provide Marketing with updated mailing lists for direct mail
and digital communications and populate constituent records with
applicable Appeals. - Coordinate with IT and outside IT vendors to make sure Raiser’s
Edge NXT is connected to and exchanging information with all add-on
software programs, and that the fundraising solution is being
updated by Blackbaud regularly. - Work with Gift Shop to regularly update inventory and new items
and process all sales information to constituent records if
necessary. - Work closely with outside direct mail vendors to provide and
proof targeted segments for monthly mailings and populate
constituent records with applicable Appeals. - Serve as primary point of contact for Blackbaud as it relates
to the Raiser’s Edge NXT - Gather and organize data for all grant applications.
- Monitor and report on all fundraising goals and progress using
the Raiser’s Edge NXT standard reports, Report Builder, and
Dashboards. - Contact and work with donors when required to update the
Raiser’s Edge NXT database. - Serve in outward-facing capacity at CAMM events when
needed. - Provide regular reports on data and software management at
Director’s meetings. - Regularly train CAMM staff to ensure all can fully and properly
utilize the database withing their permissions rights, and
privileges. - Create and maintain a Policy and Procedures manual for the
Raiser’s Edge NXT, including gift entry, acknowledgments, and the
Feed to Finance. - Participate regularly in strategy meetings with CEO and VP of
Institutional Advancement. - Work weekends and nights when required.
- Attend training seminars and conventions when required.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Blackbaud is preferred.
- Five to seven years of relevant experience.
- Experience in working with donors.
- A comprehensive understanding of Advancement Services as a
functional area.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Basic understanding of Catholic faith.
- Competency using Microsoft Office Suite.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with fundraising and/or non-profit
enterprises. - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and persuasion skills.
- Ability to train staff in Raisers Edge, Raisers Edge NXT, and
Financial Edge. - Ability to work independently.
- People-oriented with a natural and innate desire to connect and
build relationships. - Ability to communicate effectively with technical and
non-technical staff.
