Role Description and Responsibilities:
The Database and Reporting Officer will work with the Project Coordinator and the M&E Officer to perform data entry, review, clean, consolidate, and analyse the monitoring and evaluation and other program data. Under the guidance and supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Database and Reporting Officer will be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Maintain a robust and comprehensive database management system in coordination with the Project Coordinator and Consortium Coordination/Manager to ensure the availability of accurate data to meet project and donor deadlines and inform critical decision-making processes.
- Record, analyse, interpret, consolidate, and report data related to ongoing project activities/interventions.
- Assist MEAL and project teams in data collection and data entry, as needed.
- Support the development of regular technical progress reports based on the results framework.
- Collect and consolidate monthly data reports and data on progress against project indicators.
- Produce infographics, dashboards, and presentations through interpretation and visualization of key indicator data for internal and external stakeholders, including donors, government, and technical working groups.
- Support the planning and development of monitoring activities, including but not limited to needs assessment, and baseline and end-line surveys.
- Assist the M&E Officer in the development of appropriate monitoring and data management strategies, data collection tools, and reporting templates.
- Ensure compliance with data protection policies and protocols across the organization and throughout projects, in line with CESVI and donor guidelines.
- Respond to any internal and external data-related queries.
- Support in troubleshooting IT-related issues in the office.
- Ensure timely submission of daily and weekly progress updates to the Project Coordinator.
- Compile and maintain proper record-keeping of Project activities in hard copies and soft database.
- Responsible for maintaining a record of internal and external communication, including emails, letters, purchase requests, and other relevant documents.
- Ensure correct data collection from the field on a daily, monthly, and periodic basis regarding the project.
- Complete any other job-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent. Training in monitoring and evaluation will be an advantage.
- Excellent IT knowledge and expertise in hardware and software are mandatory.
- Minimum of three (03) years of relevant professional experience in a similar position in the humanitarian sector, preferably in NGOs/INGOs.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask, work under pressure, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident and proficient in the use of MS Office and database management software.
- Proficiency in the English language (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Highly skilled in data management, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and data reporting.
- Excellent typing speed in English, Pashto, and Dari is required.

Position Duration: The position is initially for 6 months, with the strong possibility of extension
